Birdcaged Flowers

The window next to my desk has felt rather naked since i have moved in. It has plain white blinds, but no curtains...(just don't want any really). I decided to add a little spring to spruce up the bland white blinds. With Valentines coming and Spring close behind i added a splash of color. Hope you all like it~
I found these adorable bird cages at Michaels
Filled them with blue ribbon and pink flower petals
Added a small pink bird to one cage
Strung them through ribbon and hung from ceiling

Button Thumb Tack Tutorial

My work station is over cluttered with scraps of ribbon, cards, and little clip outs of this and that. So today i decided i was going to do a cork board to get organized! Well i didn't like the appearance of the plain thumb tacks so i added a little flare! Here is a step by step guide to making fun button thumb tacks~

Items Needed

*Colorful Buttons
*Flat Thumb Tacks
*Hot Glue Gun
*Cork Board (set of four at Michaels)

Glue a pea size of hot glue (*ouch it burns*) to back of the button!

Next carefully apply the thumb tack to hot glue

Allow glue and buttons to cool
Decorate Cork Board!
I love the look of this and am eager to fill it with my little findings!

The Birth of my First Tutorial: Easy Dog Toy

Oh yes...once again i have given into my husbands pleads for an english bulldog. Our last bulldog was Darla (6 years ago). Who can forget that feisty girl? Well we are now the proud parents of Rocco. He is super cute and into everything. He is desperate to chew on and demolish anything he encounters. I tried toilet paper rolls, tennis balls, and a wubba. However nothing has seemed to register with him. So last night i decided to dive into researching "home made doggy toys." I read tons of ideas (all quiet creative). Many talked about the popularity of socks and others bragged of empty water bottles. So i put the two together. And so my first tutorial has been born.

Items Needed
  1. Empty water bottle (with no lid)
  2. Old Sock

losing my motivation :(

So i will be 18 weeks pregnant on Wednesday and in the last four days i have felt no motivation to do any of my workout routine. The weather has been freezing so that has not helped any. However, today i got my a$$ in gear and did my two mile walk to the beach and back. It felt good, but i could tell i had skipped four days. So how do i prevent myself from losing any and all motivation to stay in shape while growing? I hit youtube up for some inspiration and only found minor support. Wednesday Colin goes back to school so i will once again attempt my boring pregnancy workout dvd. Aside from that i am starting to understand why so many pregnant women gain more pounds than is recommended. I hopefully will not be in that category this time around!

Water Works

So now at 17 weeks pregnant i figured all the bad first trimester quirks would be worked out...WRONG...for two days now its been non stop tears. Everything makes me cry. For example, the pampers commercial, noticing how big Colin has gotten, and a new box of cereal all had me bursting the dam. Its absolutely completely uncontrollable. I am not necessarily upset by anything so i guess its just hormones. My tissue box is looking a little tattered so i am hoping this drys up sooner than later!

At last things have slowed down!

Jeremy went back to school today and with Colin gone in K5 all day i finally feel like things are getting back to normal. I plan on enjoying the quiet time for the next few days and catching up on the house cleaning! Ahhh whats that i hear..."NOTHING" :)
